Your baggage guide: All about your checked baggage

Preparing your bags properly is the first step of your journey. Checked baggage belongs to the passengers and is the responsibility of the carrier, who issues the baggage registration tag.

Your baggage allowance: The golden rules

You benefit from a predetermined allowance that may vary depending on the fare, routing, passenger category, and travel class. It is based on three standard parameters:

Weight The standard weight must not exceed 32 kg.
Volume The sum of the three dimensions (H+L+W) must not exceed 203 cm.
Quantity 0 to 3 pieces depending on the flight, class, and Safar Flyer status.

At check-in, the agent in charge may refuse to transport baggage that:

  • Is unsuitable: Insufficiently packed or unsuitable for air travel.
  • Is non-compliant: "Ball-shaped" baggage without any flat surface, or packed in a non-compliant manner.
  • Presents a danger: Risk to the aircraft's hold due to its packaging, content, or nature.
