Hand baggage

For a quick and smooth boarding, it is important that your cabin baggage complies with current regulations. It is checked at two levels: at check-in and at boarding.

All passengers traveling on Royal Air Maroc flights are authorized to carry in the cabin: 1 cabin baggage + 1 personal item, in accordance with the following specifications:

Cabin Baggage

  • Business Class passengers can carry a cabin baggage of up to 12 kg, while Economy Class passengers are limited to 10 kg.
  • In both cases, cabin baggage dimensions must not exceed 55 x 40 x 25 cm.
  • Cabin baggage must be placed in the overhead bin above your seat.

Personal Items / Accessories

  • For both travel classes, the personal item (handbag, laptop, camera, etc.) must not exceed 2 kg.
  • The maximum dimensions for the personal item are 40 x 30 x 15 cm.
  • The personal item must be placed exclusively under the seat in front of the passenger.
  • However, for passengers seated in emergency exit rows, the personal item must exceptionally be stowed in the overhead bin.

Tips and important information

It is advisable to carry with you any medication needed during the trip, as well as valuable items such as laptops, mobile phones, electronic organizers, personal documents, ID papers, jewelry...

In the event of a full flight, and should cabin space become limited, your hand baggage may be placed in the hold for greater comfort and safety. In this case, a receipt will be issued to ensure the traceability of your hand baggage.

Liquids and gels (care products, cosmetics, etc.) are allowed in the cabin only in containers of a maximum of 100 ml each, grouped together in a single transparent, resealable one-liter plastic bag, to be presented separately at security control.

Additional information and special cases

Special and duty-free items
•  Items purchased in the duty-free zone are in addition to the standard allowance.
•  Exceptional items: require prior agreement or specialized screening.
Pets
•  Assistance dogs (blind/deaf) must be muzzled and harnessed.
•  Emotional/psychiatric support dogs.
•  Animals (dog/cat) ≤ 8 kg in a special ventilated bag.
•  Small birds in a cloth-covered cage.
Electrically powered devices
•  Respirators with regulator and cardiac defibrillators.
•  Requires brand, reference, dimensions, weight, and batteries covering 150% of the flight duration.
Dangerous Goods
•  Permitted dangerous goods are allowed only in cabin baggage.

All powder-like substances ≥ 350 ml must be checked in as hold baggage:

  • Cosmetic products
  • Powdered milk
  • Ground coffee
